Cologne, Germany — May 2025

At this year’s Interzum 2025, one of the most prominent trade fairs for furniture materials and components, GFC (Global Furniture Components) marked a significant milestone — not only showcasing a suite of new product innovations but also celebrating ten years in business.

GFC co-exhibited in Hall 7 alongside long-time manufacturing partner RMT – Remacro. GFC’s first-ever appearance at Interzum in 2017 was also in partnership with RMT.

“We’ve grown a lot since 2017, having hosted our own booths in 2019 and 2023, but this year’s show reminded us how it all began,” said Laimonas Plukas, General Manager of GFC.

While participating as a co-exhibitor, GFC presented four of its own product developments, each underscoring the company’s focus on smart, functional, and market-ready mechanisms:

  • Chase X – A mechanism that converts a standard seat into a chaise longue, offering an extended reach of up to 60 cm with exceptional comfort.

  • Alpha – A robust, motorized footrest system, purpose-built for heavy-duty support and comfort.

  • A new dining chair mechanism – Featuring a gentle incline and a return swivel base, ideal for relaxed social settings and long dinners.

  • A motorized headrest GFC011EL, designed as an evolution of a classic manual ratchet system — offering an upgrade in functionality while fitting into existing frames with ease and affordability.

“We’re proud of what we brought to the show this time,” said Plukas. “As we transition from a distribution company to product developer our goal is to keep pushing for innovation that’s both smart and accessible. We’re already looking ahead to Interzum 2027.”

With ten years of steady progress and four consecutive Interzum appearances, GFC continues to position itself as a forward-looking player in the global furniture component industry, blending engineering with practical design.
